In Sept. 2024, when I became unemployed but couldn’t retire, all I was certain about was that I wanted to share the truth about public schools and help educators get through the chaos of the Walters Administration. I didn’t intend to start a new career; but every day there is some new, baseless claim about Oklahoma schools or some old, ill-advised solutions tossed around. Rarely do either have the data to back them up. Though I’m not a credentialed journalist or certified analyst or anything other than a parent who writes, I’ve been working in K-12 public education and Oklahoma politics since 1986.
