A proud graduate of Lindsay High School and the University of Central Oklahoma, Wendy Pratt has been communicating in Oklahoma’s public and private sectors for nearly 40 years. She says:

• My dream career as a reporter for The Lindsay News was cut short when I became Deputy Press Secretary for the second term of Governor Henry Bellmon, Oklahoma’s first Republican governor. In 1990, he would prove to be Oklahoma’s first “Education Governor” as well. This is where I met then-Secretary of Education Sandy Garrett.

• Next, I spent 20 years in Communications and Public Relations at the Oklahoma State Department of Education for State Superintendent of Public Instruction Sandy Garrett. She turns out to be one of the most popular and respected elected Democrats in state history.

• In 2013, I joined the state’s premier school-improvement firm, Alpha Plus Educational Systems of Oklahoma City as Marketing Director then Chief Information Officer, and was promoted to Vice President of Data Services and Government Relations in 2024.

• Today, I have the experience, discipline, and desire to work for more Oklahomans - many more years. In addition, I have the secret sauce, which includes educated and experienced family members with degrees in English, history, and certification in the graphic arts – all of whom are creative-AF and practiced in customer service.
